To who it may concern:
I am writing you concerning my claim for my household goods and damage done to my VW Trike along with things stolen.
On OCTOBER 31st, I called Acclaimed for a move from Bronson ST. San Bernardino, CA to Bullhead City. AZ
Matthew in sales quoted me a price of $6601.39 and wanted $100.00down
Includes Insurance, so I gave it to him.
David who called himself the foreman, Drivers License #D1217305
Showed up on Friday November 2nd 2018 in a rental truck that my wife and I thought was to small,
We had a 3 bedroom house, he said he could get it all in there
then raised the moving price to $9335.28, that included my VW trike.
I was told by Matthew the balance due was on delivery which would be Monday, November 4th 2018
NO ONE SHOWED UP!
So I called and then was told they wanted 50% down, in good faith, I gave them all of it.
Than Ryan (direct line 323-825-2198) called me and said it would be here first thing on
Tuesday November 5th 2018
NO ONE SHOWED UP!
So I called again, come to find out that they put another load on top of mine
and took it to Henderson NV,
THAT TRUCK WAS FULL WITH OUR THINGS AND AT $9335.28, THAT TRUCK WAS MINE!
David, (the foreman) showed up Tuesday night when it was to dark to see anything,
I told them to come back in the morning so they could see and I could check my things out in the day light.
THAT'S WHEN THE FUN REALLY STARTED!
David (the foreman) brought one guy with him with no tools to unwrap our things, not even a box cutter.
I loaned him a pair of scissors to take the wraps off our furniture, never got them back.
Then they unloaded my VW Trike, I wanted to get on it and go around the block.
David told me not to, that the fuel line got damaged in the move, I said "WHAT?"
Then I looked my Trike over and saw my KC's that sit behind my front seat were also damaged,
I just had them put on that year, then I saw mirrors were bent down,
he said he had to do that when put it in the truck.
NO HE DIDN'T, I SAW HIM LOAD IT!
I can't fix them, they will have to be replaced.
The best I can figure is they stacked stuff on top it to go to Henderson NV.
NOTHING WAS TO BE PUT ON THE TOP OF MY TRIKE!
Also found deep scratches in my fenders, just had them repainted a couple years earlier with flames on them.
Then my wife and I started to go through our things
I my good tools are gone, socket sets, wrenches, channel locks, vice grips, box cutters, extension cords, etc.
I packed in 2 storage tubs myself
Then we find my wife's wooden Christmas tree is gone, she got that from Germany, it can't be replaced
as well, all of our Christmas lights, including our laser lights for our house, as well as other personal articles.
It's like they picked through the truck and stole what they wanted
I just have to wonder if the other things that they put in that truck to go to
Henderson were stolen from other people, they are most certainly thieves.
Acclaimed sent me an e-mail with claim forms to fill out and send to Athens.
WHAT A JOKE THAT WAS!
They got my letter with pictures December 21st 2018, it took them 3 months to look at my claim.
this is where the fun starts.
When I finally got a letter from Anthem, they said they would have to check the inventory log
"WHAT LOG! THERE WAS NONE TAKEN!" I was given one paper for the whole move.
Anthem also writes it is not an insurance company, but a 3rd party, so where is the insurance for this?
The damage to my trike alone should have been paid by their insurance, no mention of that was even made
And there was no attempt made to find the things David stole, it seems both these companies have a license to steal.
What Anthem offered me was $132.00 for loss and damage to our things.
Then Bree H said they would put another $100.00 on top of it.
"EXCUSE ME! ABOUT $2000.00 OF TOOLS STOLEN BY DAVID PLUS DAMAGE, ARE THEY OUT OF THIER FRICKING MINDS!
Acclaimed movers moto is "We are the leaders in luxury service"
When it should say, "We will pick through your things, steal what we want and give you a penny on the dollar for it"
$9335.28 for that move and those low life thieves rip us off, what trash they are!
